Flash Fiction

I have just discovered a literature genre called flash fiction. I have even already come up with a few stories:

HERO'S STORY

The hero lunged his sword into the bowels of the foul tyrant. The evil man fell to the ground, screaming in agony. The hero began to walk off with a triumphant swagger

BANG!

The hero turned around. He was shocked to discover that the tyrant had a gun.

CROUCHING TIGER HIDDEN COP

Goaded by peer pressure, James finally agreed to score drugs for his friends. "Fine, I'll get the rocks!", he shouted furiously. He walked past a nearby alleyway to discover a cop staring at him angrily.

In "Hero's Story," I love how you use the implication of a sound to conclude your story. You set the cogs in our brain in motion, making the reader the one to come to the conclusions. That is such a powerful writing technique!
